Have you always wanted to create your own Junk Journal but don't know where to start and also don't have the time to attend a regular weekly class? Well my Mini Masterclass will provide you with a condensed workshop touching on all the elements you need to create a Junk Journal in my vintage style.
I will provide you with a blank Junk Journal and explain how it is sewn together, all you will concentrate on during this workshop is filling it with Pockets, Tuck Spots, Ephemera and Textile Elements. Having the pre-made Journal will save you some time and you can concentrate on how to create the elements to go inside the Journal and then take this knowledge home with you to start your journey into Journalling.
During the one day workshop you will:
- Learn how a Junk Journal is sewn together
- Create Pockets and Tuck Spots for your journal
- Age pages with inks and stencils to give that vintage look
- Create Tags for your pockets
- Work with beeswax to create Waxed T-Bag elements
- Make some Wax Seals
- Use ephemera, lace and fabric scraps to further decorate
This One Day Masterclass will run most Fridays throughout the year, 10am till 4pm with a one hour break for lunch. Workshop numbers are very small, just 1 to 3 attendees at any one time.
I will supply all materials, but you are welcome to bring papers, images etc.. to personalise the Journal if you wish, details on this will be sent to you at the time of booking.
