If you're child is currently home educated or unable to attend school due to a particular reason, such as EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) which is a term used to describe children and young people who experience challenges in attending school due to negative feelings (such as anxiety), I offer daytime art classes at my home studio in Maynards Green, near Heathfield, East Sussex.  The sessions can be taken as one to one sessions or small groups of up to four.  Sessions are available for children from 6yrs up to 16yrs (for older ages please see the adult workshops advertised).
 
I have been teaching for many years and love working with people, especially children. I like to vary what I teach, so when children join my classes, over time they will cover many art techinques such as:
Drawing, Painting, Collage, Book Making, Card Making, Rubber Stamping, Gelli Plate Printing, Textile Arts and more.
 
I enjoy introducing children to many art mediums from watercolour and acrylics, water soluable pens and crayons, to all types of inks; (spray, alcohol inks and lustre inks), pastes such as structure paste, modelling pastes, and pastes with glitters and crystals in them, creating with unusual products such as encaustic wax, foils, brushos and embossing powders, the list is endless!
 
I also work with children who have additional needs, anxieties and mental health issues. I have recently completed a "TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism (RQF).  
 
Art encourages people of all ages to express feelings, develop healthy coping skills, improve self esteem and confidence, and increase communication skills.
 
Classes are £11.50 an hour, one to one private sessions are £20 an hour (discounts are available for one to one sessions with block bookings of six sessions)
