HELLO & WELCOME
Welcome to the whimsical world of Maygreen Fairies, lovingly run from my home studio in East Sussex. My creative journey began in 2007, when I started crafting imaginative artwork and gifts using vintage imagery, lace, and gathered ephemera. What began as a small passion quickly blossomed, my designs found their way to fairs, online shops, wedding commissions, and special occasions. Over the years, my work has been featured in art publications, and many of my pieces can now be found in artisan galleries and specialist shops across the UK.
In my workshop studio, creativity unfolds slowly and softly, a small, welcoming space where art becomes a pathway to calm, confidence and self‑expression. Children, teenagers and adults gather here to explore watercolour, mixed media, collage, junk journaling and imaginative play, each session shaped by curiosity and gentle encouragement. Attendees often tell me the classes feel like more than art lessons; they are
pockets of stillness, where people can settle, breathe and create at their own pace.
I work with children of all abilities; home‑educated learners, those with additional needs, and young people who carry quiet worries. Sessions are flexible and nurturing, free from pressure, offering a place where creativity can soothe, strengthen and help them feel more grounded. For some teenagers, one‑to‑one sessions become a sanctuary away from the noise of school and daily life, a calm corner where they can make art, unwind and speak openly, knowing they are heard. I’m not an art therapist, but I believe deeply in the gentle power of creativity: how colour, texture and imagination can help people feel calmer, more confident and beautifully connected.
In my online shop, you’ll discover creative supplies, quirky greetings cards, tags, gifts, and my heirloom handmade journals. Most pieces are lovingly created by me, while others are sourced from artists and designers whose work I adore.
